CPNI Recognising Terrorist Threats

Our experience has shown that there are so many resources available nationally that event organisers, security companies and land owners can be overwhelmed by where to start and instead of taking account of some of the information, they don’t take account of any. This is a frightening thought particularly since terrorists target vulnerabilities.

The UK continues to face a challenging threat from terrorism, but early recognition of those warning signs and indicators of a terror attack can reduce casualties and ultimately save lives. All of us have a part to play in knowing what those signs are.

The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure released the Recognising terrorist threats | CPNI guide two years ago and this remains one of the most comprehensive guides available. Even printing this guide off and giving it to staff to read regularly will help them to recognise those indicators.

SL Consultants have worked with event organisers and security companies to help enforce the awareness of these indicators so that they become part of normal working activity. Access the link to read the document and if SL Consultants can help you to train your staff get in contact.
